The Mountain Post Historical Association (MPHA) is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization founded in 2006 dedicated to supporting the 4th Infantry Division Museum and Ft. Carson’s historically related programs by providing education to the public of the many sacrifices made to protect our freedom.
There are several ways you can support MPHA. Whatever method you choose, you can be sure that your contribution will be used to help preserve the traditions, the memories, and proudly honor the Soldiers who have served at Fort Carson.
Visit the 4th Infantry Division Museum
- Honor our Soldiers. The 4th Infantry Division Museum honors and salutes the men and women of Fort Carson who made significant contributions to the freedoms we enjoy today. So many stories of valor and courage are being told and remembered.
- Preserve our History. Thousands of fascinating artifacts are on display to promote a greater appreciation of contributions made by the Soldiers of Fort Carson. The museum chronicles Fort Carson’s history, honor current Soldiers and the legacy of the Soldiers who came before.
- Educate. Visitors will learn the important role The Mountain Post played in protecting our country and preserving freedom. It will help school children better understand their country and new Soldiers understand the bravery and sacrifice of others. More than 83,000 visitors visit the museum annually.
- Say “thanks.” The museum shows Soldiers and veterans our deepest appreciation for the personal sacrifices their families and they have made to protect us.
Tribute and Memorial Gifts
Show others how much you care. Making a donation to the Mountain Post Historical Association in honor or in memory of someone is a wonderful way to show you care. When you make a memorial gift, not only do you remember and celebrate someone’s life, but we will also send an acknowledgment to the family to make sure they know you are thinking of them, too.
Mountain Post Historical Association – Kit Carson Society
The Mountain Post Historical Association is pleased to announce the creation of a special new donor society to recognize the patriotism, the vision and the generosity of our most committed supporters who contribute $1,000 in program support to the Mountain Post Historical Association—Kit Carson Society. Named after legendary cowboy and Fort Carson icon, Kit Carson, the Society recognizes those visionary, founding donors who provide program support in 2009-2013.
Corporate Matching Gifts
Some corporations match employee gifts dollar-for dollar, and sometimes by as much as two or three dollars for every dollar given. Be sure to check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift program and then let them know you have made a gift to the Mountain Post Historical Association so they can match your gift.
The Mountain Post Historical Association needs help throughout the year at various events. Please send an email to Amy@mountainpsothistoricalcenter.org to find out more!
